Tangail is one of the traditional districts of Bangladesh. The district has a wide reputation in both art and culture. Speaking of weaving industry, the name of Tangail district will come first. The people of this region also have a special contribution in culture. Tangail municipality is an ideal municipality. The quality of this municipality is improving day by day. I wish the people of this region continuous improvement.

It has quite nice and modern building. Tangail Pourashava has done some good jobs like improving communication roads, drainage system etc. However it should improve it regular cleaning services and fogger spray.
