An Island in the Haor ! About 8/9 months of year this village is surrounded by water and only Boat is the transport in this time to go and out from the village. but in winter when the water level of the Haor goes down then people can walk on the land and cultivate the surrounding lands. The villagers kept their cattle beside their main houses and feed them dry foods with water. Fishing in the haor is on of the major earning source of the inhabitants of the Vatshala village. In winter season they feed their cattle in the crop fields. Villagers are well cooperative minded and have fellow fillings. Most of the houses have their own boats for transportation. In rainy season they have no alternate way to go out or back in without boat/ trawlers. Mosque, schools play ground are there in the village. One must enjoy the village in rainy season. It's a quite highland so the villagers use bamboo/wood made stairs to get in/out on the boats. You can easily go there by Etna-Mithamain-Austagram Highway (All weather road), you will change the easybike at Vatshala Bridge and then hire a boat to go to the village. The boats will get only a few minutes. You can directly go to the village by boat or trawlers from Nikli or Bajitpur upazila or any area from the Nikli Haor. The village have electricity supply.
