Shaw's steak house is one of the prominent steak houses in Dhaka. I went their with my wife to taste their food. The steak had subtle rusty smell on it, may be because of old grill panel, otherwise taste of mashrum soup, Nachos, chicken buffalo wings were good. Therefore, I won't say the food was extra ordinary but it was good enough to have 4 star out of 5.
We had ordered couple platter they're offering currently. Food taste and portions were very good. What's amazing is that, we were 7 person, and they let us take half of that platter for the 7th one. The staff are very cordial and cooperative. Highly recommend.
Very less crowded. The cream of mushroom soup was great. Salad was good.chicken steak was best to my kids.do not miss the browny ice cream.
Three things are essential to know the quality of a steak:
1) The first look
2) The first cut
3)The first bite
I must admit Shaw's Steakhouse's steak excels in all three. The first look was devouring; the first cut smoothly went through giving the hint of the tender and juicy meat about to be tasted; and the first bite reminded me of my having steak at the Texas Roadhouse steak that I had had while my stay at the US. I recommend everyone should try Shaw's Steakhouse's steak at least once. And I'm going to visit them soon again. Hope they will maintain the same quality of their food.
I always like to have my steaks cooked rare. Even after mentioning 4 times that it needs to be nothing else but rare. But it was served medium which i didn't want. The manager was cordial enough to offer me a complementary rare one instead but i agreed on a fillet. Which unfortunately came as blue but not rare once again. Sorry to say but a steak chef must need to know the differences clearly. Other than food, staff behaviour and others was satisfactory. And oh i have doubts that the piece of meat was even a sirloin cut!
