Seeing the river on the east side of the river Dumuda said that this river is like Damodar river. Damodar is a deliberate river of India. God used to go to meet Chandra Vidyasagar's mother by swimming in this river. Because of the need to swim in Vidyasagar, mother would have to go swimming. Damodar was named after this subdivision administrator in honor of Navin Chandra Shin Vidyasagar. Gradually, this area gained popularity as a dumudya.
