Alhaz Abul Kalam Azad is a respected and popular personality among the people of Banka Bhawanipur village. He is a retired principal of the famous R.K.B.K Harishchandra Institution (Raruli College), which was founded by the world-famous scientist P.C Roy. Mr. A.K Azad is a brave freedom fighter. He was the commander of his area during the liberation war. At the end of his professional life, he engaged himself in politics. As a result of the trust and respect of the villagers for him, he became the Chairman of Raruli Union frequently. He has successfully made his sons established in the society with respect and dignity. 'Swapna Smriti Kuthir' is the two-storeyed residential building of AK Azad.
