District Public library, Mymensingh

Government Public Library is a large and well decorated library of Mymensingh. It is situated at town hall area near Brahmaputra river. Here collection is good. Reading room environment is not bad. Anyone can read books in this library. There is also a table for female only. Others are common. There is a separate room for newspaper and magazine. It is open from 10:00 AM to 18:00 PM. Library is closed on Thursday and Friday.

The best library of Mymensingh town. It has vast collection of books & magazines. Great place for passing time.

You can sit here and read books written on various topics. In addition, all national dailies, weekly and monthly newspapers of Bangladesh and Mymensingh can be read. Other days of the week except Jupiter and Friday are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. However, it is sad but true that the behavior of the employees here is not book or reader friendly. Extremely amateur. Their knowledge of books is very low.
