The sculpture is located at the junction of four roads in front of the Mymensingh Museum. The first Shaheed Minar was built here in Mymensingh in 1956 in memory of the language martyrs. It was destroyed by the Pak aggressors in 1971. In order to keep the memory of the martyrs of the Bayanna language movement and the liberation war of 1971 alive in the minds of the new generation, the sculpture '52-61 Smriti Amlan 'was constructed at the same place in 2014 at the initiative of Mymensingh Municipality.

This is a place with a history of 12-1. There are various types of movements and martyrs mentioned in the liberation war. It is built by VOI over its 12-2 history in this area.
