Foundation stone laid: Feb 10, 2014 Hospital in operation: Since Sept 2018 Land donated by: Shaikh Abdul Karim Location: Shaikh Abdul Kader Lane, 2 Custom Ghat, Khulna, Bangladesh Funded by: Asian Development Bank Constructed under Local Govt. Engineering Department, Bangladesh Managed under sub-contract by: Khulna City Corporation Built on an area of 5.5 katha of land with a generous donation by Shaikh Abdul Karim, the hospital is running in full swing. The hospital is a G+5 structure. It has Maternity ward, Consultation facility, Doctors cabin, Emergency facility, Testing Laboratory, Management offices. It has also lift facility and an ambulance to transport ailing patients. There is also generator to cover the outage of power supply. The original plan had solar panel to be installed. The hospital has become very popular mainly among the lower income group in the neighboring area. A delivery case cost only about BDT 10,000-15,000 which is very low compared to a private clinic or hospital. Birth certificates are also issued from the hospital. The hospital facility is also being used for pre-natal and post natal advisory services. Besides maternity related tests, the lab also can undertake various other types of general tests.
