Biggest house made by Mud in Bangladesh. It is awesome and astonishing that someone made this all by mud and natural things. Such a big house to explore. As it is now divided and internally walled among the heirs, you can see just one side from an entrance.

Beautiful place

The Barind region has many mud houses, but this mud house stands apart for its higher number of rooms. Standing on an acre of land, this two storied house looks like a ship beside a huge pond. The 108 rooms were laid in two storey around three squares on the rectangular piece of land. It’s 300-feet long and 100-feet wide. It has tin roof. Three owners of the house collected earth from lands from the east of the house in the 80s for evening the typical staircase like Barind lands. Hundreds of labourers worked for seven months to build the house. They used bamboos and woods for structure and mud mixed with straws for walls and floor. Some 200 bundles of tins were used for the roof. Since the death of its owners, their successors are now living in the house. Thick mud walls of the house keeps its dwellers warm in winter and cool in summer.
