Mahadebpur Upazila is part of Varendra region on the banks of Atrai river, 24 kilometers northwest of Naogaon district headquarters. These areas of rice, jute, mango, jackfruit and litchus are known in different maps of Bangladesh. On 31 July 1967, Jahangirpur College inaugurated the activities of the then Divisional Commissioner Mr. A. M.
