Rajshahi College and Shaheed Memorial

A memorial for the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence of Bangladesh

Rajshahi is is one of the oldest college in Bangladesh,established in 1873 during British period, located in Rajshahi city near Padma river. This is the top college under national University. Professor Muhammad Habibur Rahman is the honorable principal of this college. In the library of Bangla department of this college has some collection of charyapada. This college has some attractive buildings and a large playground.

this is the first shaheed minar of bangladesh.

Rajshahi College is situated in the city center, adjacent to Rajshahi Collegiate School and is very near the famous Barendra Museum. It is said to be the third oldest institutions of higher education in Bangladesh after Dhaka College and Chittagong College.
