On November 22, 1971, a big contingent of Pakistan Army in collaboration with their local agents Al-Badr and Razakar surrounded the village in the morning and attacked the innocent villagers. Firstly, they fired on Zamindar Sidherswari Roy Prosad Chowdhury and set fire to him with his clothes on. Then they caught Atiar Rahman, Principal, Terosree College. They gauged his eyes with bayonets and killed him burning alive. The Pak Army began to kill the villagers one after another. Some of them were identified as Sadhan Kumar Sarker, Biplob Kumar Saha, Sachindra Nath Goswami, Makhan Chandra Sarkar, Ramjan Ali, Mahendra Das, Nitai Chandra Das, Shyam Lal Sutradhar, Jagodish Chandra Das, Jogesh Sutradhar, Narayan Sutradhar, Ramcharan Sutradhar, Delwar Ali, Madhab Datta, Jadab Datta, Jogesh Datta, Shyamapada Nag, Rajballav Nag, Gada Mia, Kachhimuddin, Ekhlas Mollah, Tafiluddin, Wajuddin, Sadhu charan Das, Sudhanya Das, Surendra Das, Jogesh Chandra Das, Gour Rajbangshi, Monindra Das, Srimanta Das, Pran Gobinda Saha, Jogesh Ghose, Ganendra Ghose, and Tasim uddin. To observe the day, the District Administration, District Freedom Fighters Command Council and people from all walks of life will place floral wreaths at the Memorial of the martyred On this occasion, a discussion will be held at the Memorial of the Martyred. A mourning procession will be brought out from the Memorial of the Martyred.
