Oteque

Trying to describe the experience in this restaurant will not do justice. One needs to eat there to know it. Amazing food and exclusive experience. Mostly based on seafood and fish , delicious eating with complex flavors and combinations. A must if you are a foodie like me.

Oteque is my favorite restaurant in Rio. It offers an Omakaze with some extras options, usually an 8 plates meal.nnTwo wine pairings are offered as well as a wide selection of wines and beer, and a cocktail menu.nnCheff Alberto Landgraff is from Paraná state and makes a fusion couisine with japanese and Brazilian influences.nnI didn't give it five stars because the Cheff is not always at the restaurant and when he doesn't, execution of meat dishes are not perfect.nnPrice starts at R$ 440 (October 2020).

Marvellous seafood and farm to table haute cousine in Rio

Delicious, great flavor combinations, fresh and filling. I made a reservation 2 months ahead of time but they were also accepting walk ins. They have a nice bar where you can order drinks while you wait. Would not consider this kid friendly. They have a community table by the kitchen where you can sit alone and dine if you don’t want to sit in a large round table by yourself. Great staff.

What they have done with the space reminds me very much of NYC. Small space but big enough to get done what is needed - which is serve excellent food. You can come into the bar without a reservation and just have a drink or 2 but I would recommend making the reservation and experience the courses. 8 courses and I added wagyu...I was/am stuffed. Staff is friendly and I would recommend this place. I don't do Rio frequently but I'll be sure to let others know, come on empty and roll out, happily...Haha ud83dude01ud83dude05
