Good enough for a swim and some sunbathing. But a seaside walk for either leisure or exercise would be impossible for most of the day. The sea has long occupied the shore. Besides, there is too often seaweed in the water. There aren't good restaurants or bars around. Definitely not a tourist attraction.

Good Beach, white sand and nice waves. There are anothers wonderful beach in Pernambuco, but, between the best beaches, ponta de pedra is cheaper.
