Hotel Porto Real Resort

The hotel might have been once a proper destination, but has fallen in very bad shape, with dirty and cramped rooms, poor service and bad food. The hotel currently caters for groups and appears not to care for personalized service. More specifically, our tiny room (no. 1193) had a faulty door lock, plugged sink, noisy air conditioning and a smelly toilet.

We were visiting long term residents at this resort and rented a unit for our stay there for a week. We were there during the winter months so it wasn't crowded. It is gated community with decent amount of security.nThe resort offers great view of ocean with easy access to marina. The resort has a small private beach with strong waves.nThe driveways were pretty steep to drive up or climb up. We will definitely stay there again but make sure you bring someone who speak Portuguese as almost everyone we run into don't speak a word of English.
