Very nice beach with sand like powder and a constant flow of 1m waves. 2.5 hour hike from Abraao is well-worth the effort. There are no restaurants or facilities, just one or two beach vendors selling a few drinks and sandwiches. Plenty of space and sun to lay out in peace.

Lopes Mendes is only accessible via hike or taxi boat (plus a 20 minute walk). Well worth the time to get there though; this was One of the most beautiful beaches I've seen. White sand and clear blue waves... take me back any day!

Awesome little beach. We took boat taxi to Pouso and walked the 20 minute hike to Praia Lopes Mendes. The beach is beautiful and the sand is as soft as drug store cotton. Definitely recommend going if in Ilha Grande.
