Welcome Surf House

A bit moldy/musty smelling and a bit of a jaunt from the main area. The entrance is not so welcoming and the loft bed and low ceiling is not very comfortable. It is a hostel setting and not so comfortable for a family with young kids.

It's a cheap hostel, so don't expect any fancy stuff. The service however is amazing for the price. They keep everything as clean as they can (I stayed 2 nights, and between the first and the second they sent a cleaner to tidy up my room. Is that good or just annoying? It's up to you). The employees are nice, especially Angela, the woman in charge when I arrived, who was super sweet and helpful.

The place is really nice, their is a nice outside area to dine, the rooms have enough space and it is very green. Coffee is good. The people who manage are very sweet and friendly. The only problem is that it gets really hot in summer and yet they have a rule that ac will be switched on at 8pm until 8 am.

Great place to stay in Ilha Grande! The people are incredibly nice and helpful, give several hints on what to do during the stay. The accomodations are great and are very calm, being able even to hear the sound of the small river that runs nearby as you go to sleep.
