Parque das Ruínas

As of October 20, 2020, parque das ruinas is closed due to covid-19. It looks as though they are doing construction during this time . Hopefully they will open back up soon. The walk through the neighborhood from the tram is very nice. There is a cute shop called la verede, highly recommended. We also had coffee and cake at a very cute shop along the way called, Mo Cafe. The murals and buildings are super fun and great for pictures.

I love this place! It's very easy to arrive there and u have a beautiful view on the Rio de Janeiro province. It's so amazing walk in Rio de Janeiro Downtown and see a lot of magic place like this! It's my first place to see in Rio! 😍😍😍😍

I love this place. I recommend coming here after doing the escadaria and have a little coffee at the cafe (the food is not good though!) It's also not that packed and you get to enjoy a nice view on top! It's also nice to come here as you can walk around in the beautiful neighborhood of Santa Teresa!

What a fantastic story behind this. A socialite who liked the entertain in the 20s. Her house became an icon to the high society of Rio de Janeiro. The house doesn't exist anymore, except the ruins. But very worth a visit. Lovely

A beautiful building to visit for free, perfect for taking pictures, it also has a great view of Santa Teresa , cathedral lapa and Rio in general. One of the must is enjoying a calpiriña in the coffee shop while enjoying the view. The crew doesn't speak English or Spanish but there are menus in English
