Very nice hotel in the center of downtown Rio de Janeiro! Rooms were luxurious and clean. Excellent price for what we got. 10/10 would stay again when and if I want to stay in Lapa/Centro.

modern renovations were made for Rio2016 olympics, nice pool and bar on the roof. Rio Centro is not my preferred location in Brazil for a holiday I would suggest Copacabana Beach area. That said there is excellent bars near Presidente hotel

Fabulous hotel. I stayed in 4 star hotels worse than this one. Don't be fooled by a small and old fashioned lobby - rooms are spacious, well furnished and recently renovated. Hotel has 13 floors, and on a 14th floor a very nice gym, sauna, and a small pool. Some rooms have nice city views but more noisy, as lots of parting going on in the Centro. wifi was reliable and easy to sign up, breakfast was good. Metro is reasonably close.

If u r lucky they have promotion even when u jaz walk in. Free nice breakfast.
