One of the more unique restaurants in the area. Very cheap/affordable. The vibe and setting is very welcoming and contemporary. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable of their product, even going so far as to explain how certain dishes are prepared. Whether you're in the mood for sushi, fish, or even octopus this place is a must try. Ask for Gus.

My friend and I found Pupus on google reviews and decided to give it a shot. It lived up to the hype!! We had their special house drink which was made with fresh basil and flowers that were grown at the restaurant and they were delicious. We also tried the spicy tuna roll and the mixed fish poke - both spot on. Also - we loved the ambiance! It’s a funky vibe with super friendly staff and good music.

Vale MUITO a visita. Com certeza você não vai errar na escolha. De entrada pedimos um mix de raízes e Ceviche acompanhados dos drinks Jorge Amado e Flor de Lis. O mix de raízes estava sensacional, crocante, hiper sequinho e salgado na medida certa. O Ceviche me surpreendeu bastante, muito diferente dos que estou acostumado a comer em São Paulo que a base é limão e muita cebola, aqui foi um mix de vários temperos todos com sutileza e combinação apuradas, pedimos picancia suave e também veio na medida. Tinha tomate cereja, cebola roxa, avocado, manga, coentro, flores comestíveis e claro algum segredo do chefe que não descobrimos. A qualidade dos peixes são um show a parte, peixes pescados no dia. Simplesmente uma delícia e inesquecível. Pedimos um bolinho de peixe que nos surpreendeu muito na apresentação, dois bolinhos assados servido com abacaxi grelhado. O bolinho é um blend de 3 peixes do dia, bem temperados com molho levemente picante (servido separado). Uma surpreendente e agradável experiência. O drink Jorge Amado estava muito bom, suave e muito saboroso, um clássico de Paraty. Não deixe de experimentar. O drink Flor de Lis tinha um toque diferente e seu sabor tinha uma sintonia perfeita entre os ingredientes. Adoramos. Mudamos para o vinho e optamos pelo Rosé Malbec da linha Don Guerino sinas, que harmonizou muito bem com o cardápio do restaurante. Em Paraty, é o meu lugar favorito. Volto com certeza.
