Cachaça Maria Izabel

Maria Izabel, such a beautiful and strong woman! She took time to carefully show us her place and the tasting of different Cachaca was really fun! I love how she really cares about the environment and listen to nature, for instance she uses only fallen branches to make fire instead of cutting trees ! I recommend this as a family activity :))

Lovely experience with Maria Izabels daughter. She gave us a little tour and then we sampled 6 types of cachaca. She conversed in English which was lovely. The farm is hidden amongst paraty...which makes it even more fun if an experience. Definitely check it out.

Definitely recommend to visit this small cachaça distillery in Paraty. Maria Isabel explained the process of cachaça making thoroughly and sat down with us for the tasting. The sugarcane used for the cachaça is all grown organically on her land surrounding her distillery, she doesn't buy any from other producers because she likes the cane to be pressed asap to prevent acidity in the cachaça. Loved the place!
