Hotel Monte Castelo

Decent low budget hotel. Good location, easy to get to Ipanema, Copacabana and all the other major attractions. Near a metro station and Uber is cheap if you prefer that. Good size rooms. Stayed on the 1st floor and it was very noisy at night from outside and because of reception being close. Having a room on the higher floors may help? Slight damp smell in bathroom, so would consider some renovations, otherwise good for budget stay.

There's some details to fix in the room. Good location. Good wifi. Staff is very loud at 6:30/7 am. Breakfast was $17.50

The hotel has very small rooms, with no windows to natural light. The breakfast is honest, but it could be improved with more options of sweets. The bathroom is tiny, but the shower is good enough. The main problem is the noize, any steps or conversation outside the room can be listened during the night. A pity.

Rooms are very small but ample for the price. Staff friendly and helpful. Easy to get around on rail.

They've 2 different rooms. The old one, small, dirt and the remodeled one very nice. The staff are amazing and very helpful.
