Venga Bar de Tapas

Excellent tapas bar/restaurant. Nice change from all the typical Brazilian places nearby. Nice modern versions of Spanish classics.

I asked Brazillian beer but they brought Spanish beer. I ordered churros and it was good. They also auto add 13% tip. I think after beer mistake, they shouldn’t be adding tip.

I still crave this place years later! Incredible food, atmosphere and service! The octopus, dados de bacalao, and churros with dulce de leche were especially fantastic. A must when dining out in Ipanema!

This place was lively, exciting, fun, full of energy, locals, dancing and dining. Nothing too fancy but just right. You truly get a taste of real living here. The Brazilians are so festive, love to dance, sing out loud, and truly enjoy life. I had am amazing time eating at a corner restaurant, meeting some of the workers, and them taking my friend and I out. We went to a local Samba two story bar club,, drank the famous Brazilian drink- caipirinhas, sang and danced the night away. It was truly a wonderful experience.

Amazing service and great food and cocktails. Manager Lou( I am sure it’s misspelled) is amazing. She made us feel special each time we visited. Managed to visit twice during our 6 night stay
