Alamo Rent A Car

Car was ok. Pick-up was ok. But! They give you a telephone number to call when you need assistance. This number is from 'partner' Unidas. And there it goes wrong: I had problems with the car and called the number. I speak a little portuguese, but not enough to have a discussion on the phone. So I asked for any English speaking person. Called tree times, to no avail. So when you car breaks down and you dont speak good portuguese, your done!!!! I nevertheless was able to ask two police officers to help me. They called the 'Unidas' number.. But were told that my car was on a location they would't service (close to Jardom Botanico that was.........!?). The police officers called two other numers (one on the keyring of the carkey) and a general Alamo number. All to no-avail!!!!! They told be that all numbers told to call the other number... So even two brazilian policofficers were NOT able to get assistance from Alamo / Unidas. Then the Police officers asked to look under the hood of my car and were able to fixed the problem (wirecable attached to battery was loose). I told this story to Alamo when I returned the car. But they didn't seem to care. So Alamo / Unidas: take better care of you customers. Have English speaking assistance and help customers even when their car is stationed/broken right in the city of Rio de Janeiro (of all places....).

Atendimento péssimo, atendentes não fazem questão de ser cordiais. A caução de 7 mil reais... valor fica bem diferente do anunciado. Não caiam nessa furada.

It is the worst moment I have ever lived in my life. The attention was horrible rude. A wait of three hours. A cast car. And the worst thing that when returning the unit they charged me an extra charge for the loss of the patent, which was observed when I left. Disrespectful liars. I ask you not to contract with these people because they will have a very bad time
