Ugly place, small room and smaller bathroom, shity front door staff, looks like they hate their jobs. not recommended at all.

Very old and very dated. The hotel pictures are deceiving. Rooms are the smallest of any hotel I have stayed in. The bed's mattresses are plastic and rough. The sheets have been washed so many times they are practically see-through. They make you pay in full upfront that way they don't have to give you a refund when you decide to leave. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. This place needs a remodel and quickly.

I stayed here with friends for a week during the 2019 Carnival. Firstly the aircon as you walk into the hotel is great but the bar is expensive (we paid R$48 for 6 beers aka Cerveja). The aircon in our room was old and ineffective, we had to sleep with the windows open which brought in Mosquitoes. They charge you R$5 for a bottle of water that they replenish everyday. The cleaners do a great job but sometimes they forget to replenish the toilet paper. They have a great pool on the roof top but they dont have enough garden umbrellas for people to sit in the shade. Also, the wifi signal is very weak at the roof top, we had to connect to the Windsor Hotel. We were sold an Ice bucket for R$5 which was worth it considering the hot temperature. Someplace people would say this is a very high price for ice. If you're a tourist, make use of the aircon at the reception and gym, I found those very helpful. Hotel OK is well situated, there is a McDonals just around the corner and 2 other good restaurants in the vicinity. Also, it's a walk away from LAPA making it convenient to walk to and from the lapa parties. There's also a Municipal Theatre and Cathedral about 5 mins away from the building. In hindsight, I would rather stay at the hotel across the road (Hotel Atlantic Business). They had better amenities, better rooftop, more modern building. I hope this helps

Staff really nice but speak limited English. Very central and convenient to the nearest metro station Cinelandia. Room was clean, and nice breakfast. Very good coffee !
