Aquarela Do Leme Hostel

This is by far the best Hostel in Rio. Where to begin...? The place is beautiful and brand new. The rooms and dorms are so nice, and the rooftop is amazing. The included breakfast is one of the best I had in a Hostel. And the atmosphere here is what I love most. It's so chill, the owners are the best... so nice and so helpful. So I really recommend this place!

I traveled to Brazil and stayed in this beautiful hotel, the receptionists helped me a lot to explain where the Christ the Redeemer was, a very clean and organized hotel.

I have stayed in many, many hostels over the years, and Aquarela is right up near the top. Truly a world class hostel. The owner Thibeaut and his partner Marielle are gems. They built the hostel from the ground up a few years ago, so the building was designed to be a hostel rather than repurposed like many other hostels. The beds are clean and comfortable (a rarity in Brazil), there are privacy curtains, the view from each room is stunning, and the breakfast is excellent. The owners have a beautiful chocolate labrador and three cute kids. During non-covid times, I suspect the hostel is lively and many events are organized on the amazing rooftop. Even during covid, I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. I can’t wait to return.

Lovely stay here. Atmosphere is very nice and safe. People are cool, relaxed, decent, and in for a party. Nice mix of people from different ages. The dormroom is just more comfy than the average dorm.
