Bondinho

Over one hour line, the ride was ok but when we reach a point it returned. It wasn't clear if we were allowed to get down. The employees yelled instructions, rude. The ride was ok, worth it no.

I love public transit, in general, but I am particularly enamored with the quaint modes of transportation that still function today, like San Francisco's cable cars. Rio de Janeiro's "bondinho" Is in that class. After a disastrous accident that happened shortly after our previous ride on this trolley car in 2010, the bondinho was closed for safety and structural repairs for several years. It was placed back into operation before the start of the 2016 Rio Olympics and is now making its popular and scenic climb up to the top of Santa Teresa. A ride on the bondinho Is one of the "must do" items on any tourist's visit to Rio.

Be there before 5:40 or you'll miss the last one

You can enjoy the cityscape of Rio. When you reach the end point, board again and return. I will not go to the statue of Christ.
