The Federal Police in Brazil perform services that coincide with the US Customs, US State Department, ICE and the FBI. This particular location deals with Brazilian passports and immigrant services (like green cards). They are very professional and the location is very organized. You have to make an appointment to be seen and you don’t have to wait too long. I had to renew my Brazilian green card, but because of COVID-19, these services were suspended for 9 months. They gave me an appointment 2 days before Christmas, so I was dubious that they’d actually see me so close to a holiday, but I was wrong and they fixed my situation quickly. I am always treated well whenever I’ve had to interact with the Feds here and I have nothing but good things to say about them. In fact, many of them speak English fluently, which is always a nice surprise.
