São João Bar

Nice place. A little noisy, but cool.

Ok, let me get this straight: I went to a bar named after John the Baptist and I didn't get baptized. Moreover, their drink of choice was beer instead of wine. Absolutely barbaric. Apart from the obviously bad joke, this is just an OK bar at best, and I'm just writing a review that's long enough so I earn more points in Google Maps. This bar has nothing special at all to offer, just your regular pub in Cavaleiros Beach at Macaé. If you already been to the world famous Durval (which is conveniently located right next to it), don't even bother going there, they share the same owner, so you know what to expect (at least they don't share the kitchen, so you don't get to see the waiters crossing the street to deliver food to your table). Actually, I imagine that it would be quite amusing to watch the waiters dodging the traffic just to deliver a picanha serving to you.

Good place with good meals.
