Fantastic lodge, hospilaty and birdwatching. We spent 2 weeks at the lodge mainly for birdwatching. The hosts Rainer Dungs ans his sister Bettina are outstanding people and dedicated to preserve nature. The food is excellent, tasty and plentiful. The rooms are clean, confortables and well maintained. Bird feeders are always full of fruits and are a great place of bird photographies. Walking trails are well marked, well maintained and are fairly easy to walk. The lodge arranged our transportation from the airport, 2.5 hours from Rio which worked perfectly with the excellent driver Serghino. The lodge work in cooperation with Serra dos Tuscanos Birding. We booked 6 days for birding outside the lodge. Our guide was Cirilo Vieira who was knowledgeable and pleasant. We highly recommend this lodge for nature lovers and birders.
