We had relatives in town, and wanted to show off one of Calgary's unique attractions. Many places have zoos, museums, and fine public art. There's nothing quite like this place! It would be practically impossible for somebody to walk through this place without getting some sort of emotional music-related memory. The information displays and panels have just enough information to educate, not too much to become boring. They have hundreds of fascinating artifacts like musical instruments, costumes, etc. And it's all wrapped up in one of Calgary's most stunning architectural masterpieces. Our relatives were very impressed.

Touring the history of Canadian artists and music along with the history of different interests was very interesting. The architecture of the whole building inside and out is just incredible and I was stunned at every level. The displays of instruments and equipment throughout history was great. Most interactive displays are closed due to covid which is unfortunate but still appreciated, especially as ticket prices are decreased. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

I'm not much of a cultured, music person, so I didn't really know about all the artists, and history of the musical people featured, but I loved the architecture and interiors of the place. It was interesting to learn about Canadian musical history, artists who shaped the music scene, and different kinds of instruments. The highlight was the piano concert area which was really grand, lit up in purple lights, and had people performing for us.

Wonderful place to spend a few hours! Plenty of interesting displays to read and enjoy, and very informative for Canadian music lovers. Always ask when the organ is going to be played, because that is a treat! Highly recommend!

Second time going and a great place to spend a couple hours. Whether you enjoy the history of Canadian music, or like myself, taking in the beautiful architecture - a worthwhile visit to say you've been there at least once. During the pandemic, their third floor interactive installments are unavailable. Parking is available right outside and is usually $5 for 24 hours. Would make a great trip if also planning to walk around East Village and Inglewood if you're from out of town.
