Safeway Caulfield Village

I enjoy shopping at the Safeway in caulfield. Today while shopping I had to use the rest room. I was able to see how badly this facility was managed. I was repulsed at the gross filth in that room. I then was concerned thinking what was going on in the back. The sanitation in the butcher area and the fresh foods. I’m very wary of the sanitation in the store. Helen cunningham

Not very sanitary, a couple of the workers are a little rude. The covid-19 precautions aren't enforced in the slightest so it's probably a hotspot for the spread of the virus or will be if not already. Asides from that, most of their food is wrapped and most their workers have excellent customer experience. If you go here your most likely going to come out happy, however it's not enough to negate the bad part. 2 stars, go here if you have to.

Usually I shop here a lot, everyone is friendly and there is a nice variety to chose from. However the manager had yelled at my daughter and her friends last time they were there They had gone in wearing roller skates, which I understand is not polite, but they checked with multiple staff to see if it was okay before entering the store. So when the manager showed up, they explained that they were told they could, and she did not seem to care. She yelled at them to just leave the store. I think this could have been handled much better, rather than taking such measures against 10 year olds. Especially after they went towards the door, she had continued yelling at them to leave. Maybe she was having an off day but you don't treat people like this, even if there was an honest mistake, it is not right.

Nice Safeway. Convenient location and some organic options. We were lured in with signs that advertised local berries and cherries but found none while there.
