The haddock in the fish and chips was above average — fresh tasting and, as advertised, "lightly battered." The chips were frozen fries, not fresh, and arrived soggy and shrunken. Why don't more takeout joints use fresh-cut potatoes for their fries, especially when they clearly take care with the fish? It would make a huge difference.
Prices were reasonable.
We were disturbed by a handwritten sign inviting customers not to wear masks when ordering through the open window, despite the pandemic requirements.
Chubby's is cheap and cheerful, old school chip truck goodness. Everything I've had there is great! They often have cool specials like fried whole local clams. Definitely worth checking out on your way through St. Peter's.
The fish with fresh cut fries was so tasty. As was the homemade burger! We will definitely be back for some more great food!
