We recently ordered the Chocolate Grand Marnier cake for my father's birthday, and I can honestly say that it had us fighting over the last slice!
I always say; there is nothing more disappointing than something that looks delicious and beautiful, but leaves us underwhelmed. This cake does NOT fit that bill! These cakes are not only aesthetically stunning, they are absolutely delicious and generously sized- which is good, because you'll be wanting every bit of them! We're all now looking forward to our next celebration just so we can try another!
The former Simply Biscotti location. Nice place for a coffee, cake and a break from the day to day grind. Good selection of pastries and also does sandwiches and scones. The lobster tail pastry is excellent. Has a nice patio with a lot of space just off Preston street.
Cute little cafe in an excellent location. Staff is friendly and service is great. Desserts and pastries are usually wonderful, although sometimes can be a little stale (hence the near-perfect rating).
Fantastic coffee and delicious treats. The upstairs seating area is beyond cozy and charming.
Update: was there today for the first time since it changed names. The mocha coffee was nice but the biscotti tasted stale. Very disappointing. My changed rating now reflects the awesomeness of my past experiences and today's let-down.
Good, but the deserts I ordered were all clearly a day or two old, which was disappointing. The lobster tail pastry wasn't crispy anymore, and the cream horn pastry tasted a little stale.
If you have pastries that are past their prime, you should mark them as such, and don't pass them off as freshly baked.
