Amazing customer service! I ordered a cake for a special anniversary and it turned out so beautiful and very delicious. Gorgeous work done on the cake, and it was packaged in a very secure box. Will definitely be ordering from here again. Very happy with this cake!

My partner bought a red velvet cake for my birthday from here, and I don't think we'll be ordering from here again. I love red velvet cake, or any cake with cream cheese icing for that matter. This icing did not contain any cream cheese, it was just sugary and tasteless. The cake itself seemed decent, but all the icing just took over the flavour. Very disappointed, ended up ordering a cake from somewhere else.

Going here was a magical experience. I was freaking out over the cakes, donuts, cupcakes, cake bombs, sundaes.... I feel bad for the guy working there as he had to endure a lot of gasping and high-pitched noises. I'm sorry! Lol. We came away with some tasty treats. Including this sexy Rollo cake for a birthday. I wish you could smell it. This photo alone makes me so happy.

I'm not from Ottawa, but Nadine was great to deal with over the phone and I sent her a pic of sample, discussed changes and details. Cake was beautiful and delicious. Everyone loved the mortar board and the detailing. Definitely recommend. Went to shop to pick up, it was ready, bought these amazing shortbread cookies in a variety flavours. Ottawa is so lucky.

Amazing cakes & customer service!! :-) From the very first email I sent Nadine, to picking up the cake, she was wonderful to deal with. I had a few ideas for the cake and she helped me narrow them down to something that would fit in my budget. She also accommodated the specific flavours I had asked for. When we picked up the cake, my husband and I were blown away! It was so perfectly decorated and exactly what we had asked for...but even better! All of our guests commented on how beautiful it was. And it tasted as good as it looked! We would definitely recommend Nadine and her team at The Cake Shop and will be buying from them again. Love supporting local businesses like this who are obviously very passionate about what they do :-)
