H&R Block

I used to have good experiences but this year I feel targeted. As an English speaker I could not understand why it was taking 2 months to file my taxes when I need the housing allowance because I am on the pension. I didn't get the housing allowance for June July August or September and I still don't have it even after a month my files. I got my income tax in French I don't understand and I'm really really poor. I'm very upset and I feel targeted. UPDATE: I called Quebec Revenue and they said they gave me a tax credit for the solidarity housing in July, and are now taking it all back. They say it is H & R block fault I will not get this credit!!!!!! I HAVE USED THIS COMPANY FOR 15 YEARS AND NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!! HOW DARE YOU RUIN MY FOOD - NOW I EAT AT THE FOOD BANK YOU TOOK TOO LONG TO FILE MY TAXES AND NOW I AM WITHOUT!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I WILL SUE FOR EVERY DIME I DO NOT GET...OR DIE OF STARVATION. I AM EXPOSING THE WORST COMPANY FOR THE PEOP.LE WHEN THEY RUIN THE ONES ON PENSIONS. H & R Block gave me a reference number and said a 'management' team would get back to me. A person who spoke no English called, I said I do not speak French, she kept talking to me until I hung up. No one else has called. Today I have 2 bills, one from Revenue Canada to repay the GST I got and the other from Housing Solidarity and I must pay back over $200. Total I must pay back is food I will not eat this month. I will eat dog food. I will never use this horrible company again who do not care about the rules of law in this government at all, and waited to file my taxes until I was not eligable. My total income is $11,688. Thanks for nothing. Sleep well and eat well. Damn to the pigs.

Given the difficulty I experienced with Ufile on line I was happy to accept this referral from RBC to file my returns via the local H&R Block branch office. Even though I had to wait several weeks for the completed tax declaration it had already taken several months to learn that UFile on line was not able to take care of the issues experienced using their on line service.

The service was just very bad...

For my part jaj had a very good experience. No bad surprises so far. The person who was in charge of my file took the time to explain and reassure me about different subjects. Next year, I'm going back
