In third grade, my class had to pick a state or province and do a project on it. I got Alberta and wanted to visit ever since. One magical day, I found myself on the phone with a woman who lived there who asked if I had heard of Calgary Stampede. I had not and she proceeded to explain it in great detail. At 27 years old, I decided right then and there I was going to go to the next Calgary Stampede. I ended up taking a friend on the 2,000 mile road trip. When we arrived at the gates, I was expecting to pay at least $20 to get in was surprised it equalled to about $3. The rest of the day was a whirlwind of art, music, vendors, cowboy outfits, rodeos, and sheer child-like glee. It was all well organized and managed and every where you looked, there was something interesting or fun. I will be going back and bringing all my American friends along. One should truly experience this event.

Best time of the year for rodeo people as the events at infield are well worth attending . My favorites are the bull riding and the chuckwagons. The midway is fun and colorful at night. The whole city shuts down for the duration of the stampede. No one goes to work, bars are full and breakfast is free. What's not to like

Calgary Stampede is truely a delight to participate. The rodeos are world class and a very energetic crowd.

Great went for the Tattoo and Fine Arts show. Except with construction going on and no signs showing you were to go. Also security tells u one thing on how to go thru the building another tells you no you can't walk thru the building to get the other side you have to walk outside to get to your parking lot where u parked

I would like to take this moment to THANK all the volunteers and security staff for making the Stampede breakfast at South centre an enjoyable experience.
