One of the best restaurants and cocktail bars I've ever been to! The cocktails are dangerously good, really next level taste and just beautiful to look at. The food was amazing! My burger was delicious and the truffle fries were really something special. The kale in my date's salad was grilled and had this smoky flavor to it, really inspired and so tasty! The staff were so kind and inviting and went out of their way to make our experience one to remember. Couldn't have asked for anything better, instant favourite!

Food and service was good however that was all eclipsed by time pressure. My major issue was with their general approach to time limits on tables. I understand you need to time slot tables but they kept reminding us about the remaining time we had (on three occasions throughout the meal). I don’t need this kind of pressure while I’m eating. Plus, 1 hour and a half seems to short, we didn’t even get to eat dessert. Currently do not recommend, hopefully things improve. Edit: Of course I understand restaurants are in a tight spot now. But the “time to be kind” doesn’t mean we have to accept everything. The time limit itself was not the problem, it was the constant reminders. There’s got to be a better way to approach this. I’ll try your restaurant another time and hopefully I’ll be able to change my review. PS: maybe don’t bark back at customers in the review responses.

My wife and I had a most lovely evening at Little Jumbo. From the very friendly greeting at the front door, the staff were warm, friendly, attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable of the items on the menu. We were pleasantly surprised by the intimate and cosy decor and ambience that greeted us as we were accompanied to our table. There was a nicely thought out selection on the menu, though we started off with a specially prepared appertizer of Lion's Mane mushrooms, which were light and flavourful. This was followed by the Buck a Shuck, which was a varied and excellent selection of fresh local oysters from around the Gulf Islands. Also, prior to our visit, we heard about the bartender at Little Jumbo being able to whip up satisfying cocktails and drinks based on one's tastes and preferences. Let's just say the rumors were accurate. Our main courses of halibut for my wife, and duck breast for me, were amazing. Not only were the dishes presented well, they tasted as good as they looked. I found the duck melt-in-your-mouth delicious. My wife said she enjoyed her halibut immensely as well. Rounding it all off with the Mille Feuille chocolate dessert was the perfect finale. The pacing was most pleasant, the staff were top notch, and we had a most relaxing and romantic dinner. We will be back.

The place is kind of tucked inside so it feels like a little hidden gem. The host is very personable. The pendant lights, warm tones, and wine glasses gives very welcoming and romantic vibes. Our server is prompt and respectful. Had to wait a while for the food but totally worth it. The plating is impeccable art. We eat with our eyes first, right?? The first bite.... chef’s kiss. Best part is finishing the whole plate feeling satisfied, not bloated or wanting for more. Perfect portion. I thoroughly enjoyed my first time here and will be back again.

Little Jumbo was a great experience. The food was cooked to perfection and the cocktails were unique and inspired. The restaurant itself has a speakeasy feel; cozy, quaint and dim candle lighting which all made for a very relaxed atmosphere. The staff were also very attentive and friendly. I would come back in a heartbeat!
