This place has been a go to of mine for years. Their tap selection is unmatched across the city (COVID has not affected this by much) and the service is friendly and very efficient. The food is a collection of typical pub fares of decent quality for the price. Of all the pubs on that row (Government street), this is the most authentic and least money grab of all. It is generally easier to get in around late afternoon or early evening after the dinner crowd, and last we visited they mentioned they were closing at 10pm now so call in or verify opening and closing times on their website before planning your visit, but I highly recommend this venue for a small group meeting place.

Best French onion soup around! Also probably the best craft beer selection in the city. They did a great job with their covid safety measures. This will be a regular go-to spot for me for sure!

If you enjoy craft beer, this is an excellent place to stop because they have an extensive list of draught plus bottles from local breweries plus imports. The chicken sandwich with avocado and the dusted honey garlic chicken wings we ordered were great and served up quickly. We were able to eat outside at their side patio which is a little quieter than their outside front patio but in both spots the tables are properly spaced apart and servers were cleaning them thoroughly. The serving staff all wore masks and were very welcoming and helpful.

Its a great place with a good variety of beers on tap! The edamame its incredibly delicious, it is lightly spicy and if you squeeze the lime served with it you'll love it!! I enjoy sitting by the bar, and with Covid in town, there's plexiglass every 2 or 3 chairs (and I'm thankful for that 😜)
