Downtown Victoria

This is such a beautiful city! You will find many things to do, see and explore in downtown Victoria!

Lovely baskets of seasonal flowers hanging from the street lamps. Very clean sidewalks with few homeless people outside stores. Meter parking limited to 90 minutes that cannot be renewed. Variety of standalone chain stores and independent retailers to suit any visiting shopper. Attractive area for a day of browsing and snacking on ice cream and deep fried beaver tails.

Victoria, BC is our favorite summer destination. We fly from California into Seatac Airport, Seattle, then board a Seaplane from Lake Union and that’s where the fun really begins! Taking off and landing on water in a small plane is kinda like a carnival ride in that it’s unique and exciting. The anticipation to view the gorgeous Victoria Harbor from the air and then landing here amongst all the hustle bustle activity is just plain wonderful! Our hosts dock their boat just steps from the terminal so the view is full-on. Victoria in daytime is spectacular, at night it becomes Magical. The shops and restaurants are great and all the other activities here keep us busy during a visit that is never long enough. The thought of Victoria always makes me smile.
