Surrey Libraries - Semiahmoo Branch

Very nice library with a wide variety of books, print media and also events. Staff is extremely helpful, if you look for something specific, they will do their best to get it for you. After school hours the library seems to be occupied by students of I assume Semiahmoo Secondary and it can be very loud at times. If I can, I will go in the evening hours after work to have a more relaxed experience. Overall worth a visit for all ages.

Good area to come and work but can be a little loud at times. Also expanded weekend times would be helpful! The staff are really nice and welcoming.

The environment is good and there are many books

Horrible experience, the guy at the info desk I think another person told me he was named Kevin, he was the manager and I was trying to contact my parents because I lived far away from the library and did not nave my phone with me so I asked the info desk people if I could borrow the phone that they had on their desk, but he said that was for business and to hurry up I did, 10 seconds later he said to hurry up, a minute later he took the phone away from me and said that it was for business only and that it was the last time that I could ever use it, now I frequent this library so I knew that phone never got used, I was meeting with my teacher at the library and he wasn't there so I asked to phone a second time to my mom because I wanted her to pick me up, he said that it was for business only and to not use it, I asked him what type of business it was used for because they weren't buying or selling anything, he just told me to leave. then I tried to ask him if I could use his personal phone then because he wasn't allowing me to use the "business phone" but he cut me off and said for me to just leave him. I stayed at the library until my mom came to pick me up. When she came a new person was at the info desk and when my mom wanted to see the manager for that shift the new person at the info desk said that it was Kevin. Then I asked her what the business phone was used for and she answered and these were her actual words "It is used for personal business." VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

Great library in a great location which allows those who study convenient access to amenities such as food and shopping. The wall garden on the south face of this building gives the structure a unique character. Library is quiet, clean, and has a large assortment of children's books. There is also a public jigsaw puzzle near the entrance for everyone to contribute to its completion
