My experience at Kinnikinnick was very diverse. The cultural exposure and knowledge we’re given about the sechelt nation and their culture is beautiful, i learned things i wouldn’t be taught at other schools. Though i found when i attended this school that in sixth grade i learned a very decreased amount from the level i was used to as I used to attend HMB, i found that my teacher dragged subjects on for months when it wasn’t needed, the stuff we were taught to be tedious and elongated, and i didn’t appreciate that. Though i found in seventh grade the teacher definitely had more of an interest in teaching us, subjects weren’t AS dragged on, and overall it was a fun educational year focusing on grade 7 grad and all those experiences. My rating for Kinnick. is that depending on your teacher, you could get a good education or one that feels like it’s on the back burner. Kinnick provided me with great cultural knowledge, band class was entertaining and the school councillor was lovely. Depending on what you value in an education Kinnikinnick could be a great school for you.
