Kekuli Café Coffee & Bannock- Merritt

Stopped here for lunch in our way back to Vancouver. As soon as I bit into my venison havarti melt it was instant 5 stars. The bannock was so fluffy! The venison was really well seasoned but didn't over power and the added apple to the sandwich created such a nice crisp and sweet addition. Flavors were unreal!

Worth anyone's time to eat the ultimate in Bannock and Indian Tacos. Such a great and tasty menu all around! We had a 9 year old girl with us when we stopped here for a bite. Every bite she took was followed by a "yummmmm!" She outwardly acknowledged what I would've done had she not been there✔ This place is well known across BC and a hidden gem in Merritt.

Visited twice now and love that the food is consistently good. A little pricey for the sandwiches but they are so good I consider it a nice splurge. Atmosphere inside is calm and the staff seem nice not too talkative but they do a good job!

When passing through or stopping in Merritt, you simply HAVE to pop into this one-of-a-kind spot! Who knew there were so many different types of bannock?? The coffee is pretty good, and they offer a variety of dairy free creamers. The decor is unique, a mixture of modern, turquoise walls and white sticks, combined with native art and some rather unusual, hand made chairs! It's great!

Must stop here even if you are just passing thru town! As good as moms but don’t tell her!!! P/S Surprisingly some bannock survived the car ride home from Merritt to Edmonton and it stayed soft, fluffy and just as yummy as the first bite 12 hours before!!
