Nite Hawk Cafe

Honestly, I never rate anything 5 stars, because I’m a firm believer that nothing is perfect. I had a hard time rating 4 stars, and hit the 5 star rating for the first time ever. We camped at Falcon Lake this past weekend, and drove to West Hawk for breakfast, knowing this place was there because we had camped in West Hawk some weeks prior. We were immediately greeted at the door by (I think) Tyler, which also turned out to be our server. We were seated in the beautiful screened in patio, where he took our order, and promptly brought my coffee. Service was the most amazing I’ve ever experienced in all my 46 years. My coffee never reached empty, he, and his coworkers regularly stopped by and asked how everything was, and if we needed anything else. I tell ya, the owner of this place nailed it how to run a business. Even after people started to pile in after we arrived, their more than efficient staff kept pace. I really can’t say enough about how pleased I am with my experience here. Food prices were on par with any restaurant I’ve ever been to, and the eggs were cooked to perfection, no joke. I always get my eggs over easy, and most all restaurants seem to have a hard time doing this without making the egg a runny, partially uncooked slop mess, or over cooking it to the point where there’s next to no yolk to dip your toast in. These guys passed the egg perfection test with flying colours! Seriously, you need to experience this place for yourself to believe it. I’ll definitely be back!

The best place to eat anywhere. Always a regular stop for us. Never ever been disappointed. Friendly service. Staff is second to none. Great hospitality, fantastic service, beautiful patio dining, great portions all at a great price. It is the place and worth the stop off the highway if your just travelling through.

We went for a late lunch after leaving our camping site at Falcon Lake. We have the normal waiting period because of a line up and the staff was disinfecting the tables. They take very seriously the COVID situation, and I like that. They really care for their customers. I had fish and chips, and my wife a burger. We shared the poutine. The food was good and tasty, and came to the table in time. The ambience is nice and cozy, it’s a vacation time restaurant. Nice music and not too loud like in other restaurants. Barb, our server, was very friendly and we talked about West Hawk in general. We will come back next time we are in the area.

Great food and Vegan options (beyond burgers). Yam fries are delicious.

I bought dinner for myself, my little sister and grandma. I wanted to treat them. None of us liked our burgers at all. They were drenched in sauce and it was way to much. I ordered that Penuat butter burger, it was good but WAY to much sauce. The sauce dripped out of the wrapping from the restaurant to our campsite. I also ordered sweet potatoes fries and they were all soggy! Lemonade was great though!
