Higher prices than no frills in Picton, but great staff, far better selection, no crazy lines like at no frills, and for about 5% higher cost. I would choose metro every day of the week. Sobeys Picton has good quality products but more limited range. Metro wins every time.

If the Metro in Picton are not doing returns, they should put a sign on the door stressing that. I bought a jar of decaf instant coffee by mistake and took it back. There was nothing wrong with it nor was it opened. It could have been wiped down and put back on the shelf for the next five people to touch it before someone bought it as some groceries do. When I asked what I'm supposed to do with if I can't use it, I was told " That's not our problem". No it is not Metro's problem. It is my problem. I lost $7.99 but with other grocery stores in the area and a new one going up, it will be a very, very long time before I set foot in any Metro and we have been shopping there for years. Sorry, but to me it is the principle of the issue.

Fast, friendly, knowledgeable and tasty. Had the barbecue chicken on special after advice from the guy behind the deli counter. Got to love it when staff let you know about the store's current deals and specials. Keeps me going back.

Metro was a nice experience. I saw a worker sanitizing the handles on the refrigerators. It shows they care.
