Rochester Zen Center

This place is awesomely peaceful. I used to do yoga in the upstairs space and it's wonderfully conducive to serene meditation. It's a wonderful community resource and we are grateful that the owners are willing to share their very useful spaces with us all.

They asked me "What is Mu?" and I found the answer on Wikipedia. That's not cheating.

Having been a member of the Rochester Zen Center for over 20 years, I have the experience for an informed review -- and I give it my highest accolade. The teachings I've absorbed, the retreats I've attended, and the continuing daily zazen have made a huge positive difference in my life. Zen is not the only path to spiritual awakening, but it's a path that has been working for some serious practitioners for over 1000 years. There's no way to tell in advance whether it will work well for you, so, if you are unsure, step one is to attend one of the Saturday workshops, which will help determine whether or not it's a good fit for you. I've recommended that step to may people over the years and I've never had anyone ever tell me they didn't find it a valuable experience.

I know one of there Trainers Ben T. from past experiences. He is an absolute genius and is one of the most impressive persons I have ever met. I would compare his character, composure and level sophistication to the likes of Abraham Lincoln.
