The church was built in 1877 by the builders of the time. At the time it was a monument that they needed and that they gave themselves: their parish church. We must refer to the time when it was built and here is what we find in the church's centenary book page 13: To the sender, field stones, cut by experts, artists; yes and cut in 1873-1875 by the hands of residents at ten sous an hour. Let us look at them from everywhere, above, below, well placed, well adjusted, by inhabitants with no other force than that of the legs, arms and wrists. The arms of athletes, the hands of artists, square eyes, lips that sing; poor people who work almost all for nothing, people who love the good Lord.
