My wife and I decided to book a night completely out of the blue to celebrate our anniversary. When we arrived, we were greeted with a friendly welcome. Staff went over and above to ensure that we felt welcomed and set us up with a beautiful room. Room was spotless. In the morning, I had my hands full from grabbing coffees and walked past the front desk. Once the front desk person noticed that I was heading to the elevator, he immediately rushed past me to open up the elevator and press my floor number so I wouldn't have any issues in trying to do it while my hands were full. It may not seem like much, but that is a very small attention to detail that really impressed me. No matter who I passed in the hotel, each and every staff member (from front desk, maintenance and housekeeping) greeted me with a smile and friendly welcome. I would highly recommend this hotel and the staff for the excellent service. Even though we are from Calgary, my wife and I wanted to treat ourselves to a 'staycation' considering the current situation and we are so glad that we did.

Friendly front desk service however reservations did not mention the pool/spa being closed during the week. We booked the stay for our anniversary and also booked an in room couples massage that was very nice, however when a hotel is at 20% capacity or less, an upgrade would have been appreciated but was not even offered. It was very cramped but the massages were very enjoyable. We chose the Westin for the convenience of having dinner at the Keg. The Keg had very good service and a delicious meal as always and the manager gave us a complimentary dessert that was greatly appreciated.

Mask wearing and distancing protocols in place on entering. Rooms are well appointed. Need to ask front desk for coffee maker for hygienic reasons. Clean, well appointed rooms. Pool and gym open, need to book time for use. Staff always very helpful. Very close to Eau Claire Market and most downtown Calgary dining and activities.

You can’t beat this location! Walking distance to everything. Hotel is clean and staff friendly. Parking is expensive and no valet but charging valet prices. WiFi is not good and hotel phones don’t work. However much of this could be corona related. Good sized rooms that are very typical for a Westin. Pet friendly and again the location is amazing. There is a Starbucks but hours are inconsistent.
