This bar has potential, ordered one of there burgers off skip last night. The bun was great, the abundance of different veggies was really nice. But they overkilled it with the tomatoes and onions. The beef patty was juicy but where was the seasoning and the crispy outer edge. I think they could change the process cheese as well. It all felt too much. If they tweaked these things I'd deffinetly give it another shot.
I rarely go to the Newcastle because its 18 k's from home.
I went to meet a long time friend for lunch, we listened to Crawdad play outdoors, friends were sitting in the parking lot, watching the band. We were indoors listening in an air conditioned room, talking with friends and everyone was wearing their masks and keeping our distance.
There was a band.. Not a great band but they played. Decent clientele.. Ok for a stop in. Or meet up.. A little loud with the band..
The Newcastle is a great live music venue with no cover charge ,had outside in the parking lot live music and inside on stage, promotes and showcases local bands ,and is a lively fun freindly place.A more mature crowd generally but all ages appear and are welcome.
Great food. The staff is friendly and quick!
