Harrison Corner Cafe

Went a couple days ago for my birthday breakfast. One meal we had ordered had obviously been re-heated in the microwave as the crust was almost wet it was so soggy. When we brought it to our servers attention (when she finally came back) she pretty much ignored it and we were charged full price. On top of that, the start of our experience was not great. We ordered coffee and baileys (as I am a server I know it is appropriate to ID) however, when we were asked for ID she returned it to us in a snarky tone and said “wow you guys look way too young”, EVERYONE at the table found it rude. For some, this may be a compliment but for a young woman on her birthday I found this comment super inappropriate, ID us and move on. We had plans to return the next day for breakfast but after the server we had we will not be. Too bad, this restaurant could have done so so much better if it wouldn’t have been for the poor attitude and service of that one particular individual. ALSO, apparently the issue of the food does not seem to be understood and how the server did not seem to care. Also, it is about the experience I had, taking away from that makes it worse. A server should never be commenting on the appearance of anyone. What a bad response.

We went for breakfast today. We had a traditional ham Benny, & their breakfast special which was scrambled eggs on a toasted croissant with sausages and hash browns on the plate. The food was flavourful and wonderful, and cooked the way it was ordered. The staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful. A definite return visit is in the plans.

Ordered the calamari to go and I must say it was probably the BEST I have ever eaten. It was fresh, buttery soft and lightly fried. Absolutely delicious. Best in Harrison Hot Springs. Only wish it was served with Tadziki

Came in for breakfast with a small group, all of our meals and the service was amazing. Probably the best cup of drip coffee I've had in a very long time. The cafe serves breakfast until 12

My go to place when I don't want to cook! Danny, Patricia and their staff make every visit awesome. They truly care about their customers and it shows! Such a chill atmosphere to just hang around and enjoy every bite/sip. Recommendations if you've never been: Breakfast: the Quiche is my staple with a delicious cup of Back Porch Roasted coffee. Served with hand-cut hash browns or fruit. Lunch or Weekend Dinner: the Fish Tacos are the bomb. 3 freshly beer battered tacos with a side of fries paired with a delicious pint of Fat Tug. If your looking for a larger dinner, the 1/2 chicken will not disappoint. Easily the most tender chicken I've ever eaten. The secret? A three day marinade! Plus it's kid friendly anytime of day if you can't find a sitter!
